Dichotomy: Woven Monogram Double Pendant Tutorial NEW!

I made this over the summer.

Then I made several monogram pendants for Christmas.

I received a request for a double sided monogram pendant. So I combined my two previous experiments! The Dichotomy: Woven Monogram Pendant tutorial is the result!- so exciting!

The tutorial is available in my etsy shop, jamilola.etsy.com and on artfire. A companion file with diagrams for additional monograms is in process!

Holiday Stardust Free tutorial

I created this bracelet for my aunt for Christmas 2009. I loved the fossil beads mixed with the cloisonne. The gold stardust beads seemed to sing with the red! Of course I had to write down the instructions otherwise I would have forgotten what I'd done! :)

Yesterday I completed my first FREE tutorial for this piece.

A Christmas Sister & a new free tut

Saturday I spent time away from my all day writing frenzy on Black Friday (10,000 words challenge - write them all in one day!). So Saturday I needed a serious break! I made a variation of my Dainty Sister Pendant tutorial- Christmas Sister.

Later in I was checking out youtube and found this wonderful tut for a mandala! So I have posted it here for all to enjoy!!!

Gem show haul

Ok, I finally was able to get my computer and digi cam to cooperate! I was able to create the montage. Here is the fruit of my gem show haul! I love attending these shows because it lets me see a wider range of product. It's also exciting to be in the hustle and bustle of all the people oohing and ahhing! I love it!

I'm excited to start making some of these beauties up!

Here is a small pendent from my tut.

Excitement!

I am excited to say that I have been accepted as a teacher over on Jewelrylessons.com! I will submit the Dainty Sisters Pendent tutorial soon. It feels good to be accepted by fellow jewelry artists. SMILE!! I will also post it on Etsy.

I'm thrilled to be making jewelry again. I've slowed down since my father got sick back in November and was in the hospital for 2 months, then came home and died. It was and is a very difficult time. I counted on jewelry making, writing, and photography to get me through the hard times. It all shoot down though- nothing worked to help me at all. I barely made my Christmas presents and they did not turn out the way I wanted. Creativity- sucked out the window. I haven't been able to do much lately. Working on this tutorial has helped get some spark back- this and the gem and jewelry show last weekend. It's funny how some beads, wire, pliers, etc. can be a light at the end of a dark tunnel.

Dainty Sisters Pendents Tutorial

I have had two tutorials in the works. One completely finished. The second, I needed to take more photos for the step by step process. Last night I finished the second round of photos! I now have to do photo editing and a little rephrasing in the text and bam!- second tut done! I will be posting it up for sale by next week. I am so excited. Here are a few pictures of the finished Dainty Sisters Pendents (inspired by my sister of course!). Enjoy!
